Two quick ones ...... covering two ends of the intellectual spectrum


When offered a drink, Rene Descartes refused with a firm,  "I think not!" ...... and was never seen again.


Two ropes walk into a bar (yes "ropes") .... they are immediately thrown out by the bartender ..."We don't serve no damn ropes in here!", he shouted.
After a couple of tries, one rope says "I can get in there!' .... "Quick, tie me in a knot".  His two friends tie him in a knot saying, "I don't get it"
"Now fray my ends"  ...so they fray out his ends.  He moseys into the bar and orders a beer.  The bartender takes one look at him and says ....
"Say, you ain't one of them ropes are ya?"

And the rope says ......



"No .... I'm a frayed knot"

The way I heard the Descartes one was:

Descartes stops at the cart of a hot dog street vendor. "One hot dog with chili, please," he says. "You want onions on that?" the vendor asks. "I don't think so," responds Descartes, and then promptly vanishes into non-existence.
