Well, I'm only on two - Seroquel and abilify.
Lamictal & zoloft are not antipsychotics.
Not sure about neurontin.

Lamictal is an anti seizure medication that is sometimes used as a mood stabelizer. I looked it up.  Wink
But you are correct Abilify is an anti psychotic

Hi Phyllis and Chasemanzmum,

I'm on Lamictal and I believe your answer is correct on anti seizure and a mood stabilizer.

I am on Lamictal, Abilify, Effexor,  and Klonopin.  Then of course there is the medication to help me sleep, then medication to help me wake up, etc etc.

I believe Neurontin is for seizures and nerve damage.  My daughter was on it for several years after her tumor in her frontal lobe was found and taken out.   She had a bad reaction to the normal med which was dilantin.  Not sure of the spelling of all that.

I used to take two antipsychotics together...Seroquel and Geodon, but since I received Medicaid, they will only pay for one so I was forced to choose. I chose Seroquel but am going to change that decision I do believe.

Other than that, I take Lamictal for seizures and mood stabilizer. I've not had a seizure since ceasing the Lithium about 6 months ago.

High, when you take your Lamictal, does it cause any UTI's or anything?  I was on it TWICE and both times I had SEVERE UTI's.  It was weird.  Ended up in the hospital.  But I'm on Geodon and Xanax.  And knock on wood, so far so good.  How do you like the Geodon?  I think the only side effect I'm having is if I don't eat with it, I get the tingling throughout my body and then the other is that I get tired during the day, but at night I'm up until 3:00 a.m. or something...

All I know is that I don't want to have too many "cocktails"...I like what I'm on and hoping it will stay that way...but I know that I might "level" out at some point...and have to have it raised.

My sister is on Cymbalta and Ativan and one other med...I can't remember which one, but she had to have her Cymbalta raised and she's on 6mg a day of Ativan.  The most I ever took was 2mg./day.  I take 1.0 mg./day of XANAX and I like it that way.

Hugs,

wow! 6mg of Ativan a day? That is a little on the high side. The highest dose they make is 2 mg. (I'm on ativan too and I take 1 - 2 mg as needed) I'm also on lamictal and it has yet to cause me any UTI's. (knock on wood)
