I wouldn't be able to sleep on my Seroquel alone, and I'm on 300mg. I take my restoril (temazapam) in conjunction with my seroquel and things seem to work for the time being. Although, I truly believe I have to watch what I eat and what time I eat to for my night meds to work.

As another example of how meds affect people differently, I tried trazadone and found that it kept me up all night. Had exactly the opposite effect of what it was supposed to do. I, too, am rather amazed that i can't sleep on seroquel. I had always  heard how good it was for sleep, but ativan works very well for me.

I take 10mg of Ambien plus 150mg of Trazadone. One (the Traz) gets me to sleep and the other (the Ambien) keeps me asleep. HTH

And if I dare go inside, I wonder, will I ever be able to find my way out?"

I decided to try drinking instead of taking my sleep meds Saturday night. I drank 4 margaritas, which I have been craving, and did without my evening meds, hoping to sleep 8 hrs instead of all day the next day...well, it didn't work dammit...I was up all night long, finally had to give in sun. morning at 9am and take my meds because of psychosis and then slept until 7pm...i'm so frustrated.

I know this is an old post, but I figured for people that look at it as a reference I would reply. I take 100mg of Trazadone and it helps me sleep. I take it with Geodon at night. When I first started it it made me have a hangover the next day, now it doesn't.

Trazadone does nothing for me unless I take what should be a lethal dose lol and then i just feel drunk and may only sleep an hour or two
