when i first started taking my epilim i felt numb and i couldn't draw or paint,i kept falling asleep and i was like a vegetable,i even gave my vegie patch to the horse and let him eat everything, now it's slowly coming back at least he left lots of fertiliser everywhere....but i lost interest in everything,so when you first start taking it prepare yourself that it might take a while to even get the dose right, your state of mind has a huge effect on these meds,it's like when i used to take lsd,if you feel like shit before you drop it you'll have a bad trip but feel good and many doors shall open in your head.even lithium can take a while before it works my doc didn't think it was suitable for me,rocking the anxiety boat so it was the epilim and even that took 2 years before it was right level and working.

the only problem i had with depakote was the weight gain.  they took me off of it right away though when i gained 40 pounds in one month.
