Okay guys....

Long story short....

Went back to doctor's today and the "Emergency" doctor put me on:

Klonopin (.5mg 3x a day- which is what I was already taking and she refused to up my dose because it's an addictive drug)

Paxil (10 mg. 1x a day)

Seroquel (25 mg. 3x a day)

Haven't taken the Seroquel yet because I need preauthorization and probably won't be able to take it until tomorrow....but took my first dose of Paxil and of course taking my Klonopin.

Does anyone watch "House"Huh??  Well, this woman is a female version of Dr. House!  She told me like it was.  She said I have been on all the popular medications and I was just not giving them time to work on me...so she gave me a choice, that I either take the meds above or I go completely off meds and do therapy only....

WOW...my mouth dropped.  She basically told me that this was it.  All the meds that I was on works and that I just wasn't giving myself enough time on them (and she IS right...I just don't like the way she was talking to me)

I felt like a 2 year old.  I felt like I was being reprimanded.

However; she was right.  She said to me that the meds aren't "miracle drugs" and that I NEED TO WANT to get better and do my part by taking my meds and give them time.

SO...that's it.

I guess she told me, huh?Huh?? LOL

HUGS,
*Chelbie*

Well, she is right about all of the things that she said, but I do think you're trying. If you weren't trying, you would not be taking anything and you could've just ended this a long time ago if you weren't trying, so that part would've probably pissed me off.

Us, with BPD have two Achilles heels. 1) the only way to understand the true gravity of this terrible illness called BPD...is to have it. Simple...true...so f*cking stark...& anything short of a cure for BPD will not change this. 2) STIGMA...effects us with BPD in our daily lives...more than we want to realise...the total  eradication of stigma of MI's is beyond all are lifetimes. We have no control over these 2 factors...we just have to go about our lives & try to do the best we can. These two factors will effect each & everyone of us in varying degrees...with most of us...it will diminish the quality of our life...& the quality of our relationships. I am getting so emotionally frustrated writing this...I just started crying & will have to sign off for now. I hope I can cry myself to sleep...so I do not have to think.  I do care for one & all of you...your support is greatly appreciated. Joe Buck (Bob)

I've been bawled out by my GP more than once--I think doctors like to get into that parent-child modus sometimes---
