Time to give them a try---it has become a necessity to do something, btcause I cannot live on the income I get--every month there has been no food for weeks--this is not funny--I am not a manic spender, either, just the basic bills. So we'll see if they will rehabilitate me according to my plan, which will cost them $6000; I dont know whether they will bite on that or not, but am maintaining a positive attitude.

Nobody wants an old man with mental problems--so I am looking for an independent livelihood so I dont have to take up the "profession of a dog"--they may not like that. Anyhow, I know people who have been through the program 4 or 5 times.

We have that here, but IDK how it can help you, Clayton, unless like you said, they can find something you can do for home instead of in a workplace, or maybe something else suitable. Maybe it will at least get your foot in the door to get some more assistance.

Aren't you afraid of losing your benefits? That's what kicks me in the ass.

The "system" is all retribution...not reabilitatation. The lord giveith & the lord takeith away. Clayton...you may get trained...get a offer...that money wise...you will improve...but goodbye to your health care (what ever that my be) & the majority of entry level jobs offer no health benefits. Massachusetts's started "First Aid" mandatory health care benefits. Individual $15,612 or below ...monthly premium $0. Wisconsin (my home state) has this type of state health plan in the works. If this passes in Wisconsin...this will open up the door for myself...but if & when it does?Huh?? I so desparatly want to work...but at this time would lose to much...Hope things work out for you....Bob (Joe Buck)

Losing benefits is a long ways off--- I am telling them on first page I want to make 60K a year--that's $5000 a month, six times what I get now--so any idea involving working for $10 an hour is off the board. People do this all the time so I am optimistic I can do it, too, even in the current Depression.

Go get em' Clayton...60K was appox what I made (sales, salary & commission) in the job I was forced out of...because of stigma of this illness.Been a while since I went job hunting...I with a BA degree in marketing...a grade a resume'...I applied like a mad man & got nowhere...also age discrimination to deal with. Good luck & happy hunting.
