You could test your theory by cutting them out for a few days?

I gotta have my coffee... I have been drinking 2 pots a day lately some days, which is not good, but at least I'm not getting manic off of it. I guess that is a good thing.

I don't do much caffeine, maybe a coke or two per day. The docs keep telling me to cut out caffeine, but dammit, I keep telling them that I'm not too bad with it. Most people get way more than I do. Frog drinks coffee like Phyllis is saying, about 2 pots per day.

after I was diagnosed BPD I cut out caffeine and excess sugar and I have to say I have never felt better.

I still have the ocasional cup of tea but no more 3 x daily trips to the cafe for a double shot lattee or 4 red bulls while clubbing.

I'm a Coke addict--I drink at least 2 litres a day. one way or another--dont drink coffee. have one glass of iced tea daily, and it doesnt seem to hurt me--I go over to the fast food joint across the street and they all know I want a large Coke--comes with one refill--but I've gone for weeks without and not had any side-effects.

Oh MAN. I used to LOVE a red eye. But they are terrible for symptoms. I usually cut down on coffee in the winter. Not sure why. It seems as though it would help more in sluggish times. I really get addicted in spring and summer.

I'm the opposite, Kate, I prefer my hot drinks in winter and cold in the summer. Though I'm told that drinking cold liquids actually warms you up because your body counters the cold liquid inside you. Go figure. But it's definitely hot chocolate and mulled wine season now, as well as tea and coffee.
