Nicki, it's probably the lithium giving you the tremors and shakes. That would be my guess anyway.

I take 20mg of Abilify--it's worked wonders for me. But I also take it with 7 other meds, so I imagine it complements others. But it's the main drug I take. It does, however, cause tremors at first. My 2 cents.

Gosh, when I go back and read this thread it makes me miss Clayton so much. You know, I was just looking back and realized how long I've been coming to this site. Of course, some of the original members are gone, but many of you are still here. We need each other for some strange reason I think. I feel like I just "NEED" you guys sometimes, even if it's just to come read what you are up to and how you are doing. Look at how much we've changed together and grown together....I'm feeling weepy, but in a good way lol. The Abilify has seemed to pep me up a bit. If a small dose has made that kind of change, maybe when she raises it I will feel even better. Unless of course, the side effects appear.

hi. am new to this forum. i take abilify 30mg. while in hospital it didnt do much . i took it with 1500mg depakote.it was until 5mg of haloperidol twice weekly was added that i came to my senses. am i risking tardive dyskinesia on this dose ?

i was on abilify and depakote for a while and suffered with tardive dyskinsia......but i found that it only lasted for a few weeks and then it kind of susided.....lucky i guess.....but this doesnt mean that you will suffer with it as medication effects everyone differently

hey high maintenance. if you only take an antidepressant, as a bipolar you'll do more harm than good. it can send you into a manic episode. or make your depression worse. that happened to me when i had no health coverage and could only afford my antidepressant. after a month my doctor told me how that works. poorly. and as for abilify i took it for a very long time. i never felt much benefit from it. now i'm on lamictal and risperdal. hopefully that will do the trick.

zUBRA, mY OLD PDOC HAD ME ON HALDOL ALSO and wanted me off of it because the liliness of tardives is pretty high. It is an old school anti p and not used much anymore...she tried to trade off for risperdal but I couldnt afford it so I stayed on the haldol
