after getting frustrated with heavily moderated and censored bipolar message boards, i thought i'd come see how you guys roll.
i'm 27 (28 next month... waaay too close to 30!) and a professional journalist. i work for a newspaper and do the weekend news on a local radio station. i'm canadian.
i was diagnosed at 23 and have run the gamut of meds. i finally have a psych who listens to me and is not overmedicating me. i take lithium and zoloft regularly and clonazepam and zopiclon as needed. i see a therapist who talks too much once a week.
my current issue is with depression. i was feeling down emotionally last week. this week i feel numb, but tired as hell.
planning to go to blockbuster as soon as it opens tomorrow, rent a bunch of dvds and watch movies and sleep all weekend.
hope to get to know everybody here.

thanks for the welcome. i have recently grown tired of the direction the about.com forums are heading. there are many, many nice and supportive individuals as members but management seems to spend more time telling people what not to do than actually being helpful... so i thought i'd try something new. |

I'm new too and haven't quite figured any of this out and I've actually been reported a few times for saying things that I didn't really know were bad, so I dunno what I'm doing...I don't know if you'll even get to read this.....high maintenence
