i really couldnt tell you if i was diagnosed with any of them as i was only told that i had bipolar and was a rapuid cycler....i would go from one extreme to othere throughout the day.....it was tiring.i dont tend to get hyper anymore but still suffer the depressions for weeks at a time

I am a BP type 2. I posted this in the past...the most severe depressions on this earth...are from BPD. BP type 2 manias...hyper manic...BP type 1...psychotic. BP type 2 generally more depressions...one's (1's) more manias. There is so much more...one thing for sure...it really sucks the big one. JB (Bob)

I was first diagnosed with depression in my teens and twenties. I'm 53 and about 3 years ago I was diagnosed as having Bipolar 2, but after some severe manic and depressive episodes resulting in a hospital stay, I was diagnosed as having Bipolar 1 ... apparently I was a bit delusional. After 22 ECT treatments I am doing much better.

Same here. They sometimes call it Bipolar Affective Disorder but never have given a type.

I'm not sure, I was just diagnosed and he didn't say which one. He said I was manic...but I'm not sure because I'm also sad...I told him that but he said I seemed more speeded up than down. I feel both...I'm lost.

type 2.
I have very very low low's, i do have some hypomania..but not as many as the lows. Although I kinda like hypo's...its nice to feel good and have confidence and not need much sleep. Although yes I have done dumb things.
I'm glad to hear I'm not alone in the type 2's..i thought mroe ppl on this board would of been type 1.

BP 1 ,ultra rapid cycler, crazy as Hell!! I hardly ever get depressed, but when I do, it's only for a couple of days, but it is very dark & scary when that happens. I think Mania is better, but that is only my opinion. It all sucks, to be honest.
