Phyllis,

For me it was sort of like a time out so I could have a break from the world.
I was at a point where I couldn't really handle daily activities.  I probably should
have stayed longer than I did.  I think it was shortly after that I started to have the
ECT treatments.  That was done as out-patient.

How are you?  What's going on?

I have been put in the hospital 2 times and have been able to visit the hospital 2 more times since my diagnosis. I wasent in for long term (a month or so each time) I can never do outpatient therapy...cant stick with it. My pdoc and fam believe its all or nothing for me. Either I get it together and get back on track or be dead. The 2 times I was put in the hospital I was manic. The willing times I was depressed....

I never have been but should have been a few times.  I'm not kidding...I was out there...once when I was in college I was manic and paranoid as hell!  That was awful.

I know the poll has closed but I felt I had to say something here.

I've never been into hospital at all, but like the previous statement there are times I should have been, I'm plain dangerous when I get going.  I've had my wife rugby tackle me to stop me smashing up an entire room!!

This leads me to ask an interesting question that I'm wondering may have already been asked, going to scout the polls now Smiley
