The learned of mental health tells us...that most BP's experience the illness differently. I feel that most BP's have common gripes. Some have tons of bellyaches...some have little...but one constant, we all do not get off unscathed. Consumers are told that BPD should not define our lives but most of society does not live by this motto. So without further ado... the complaints of a bipolar.
Insane or Sane...that will be the question?
It is evident, very few who use the "Insanity Plea" for their defense, ever get awarded it. In turn consumers spend most of their life with their competence in question. Even in the sanctuary of mental health, consumers are not immune, to the scrutiny of their rational. Feels like one is haunted by the ghost of lunacy past. What the f*ck is up with that?  WTF
Community Support & Mental Health?
Most of us have experience(s) of the charity of community. Money jars in convenience stores, collecting for Joan...who needs a expensive operation...Joan has no insurance. Poster announcing a benefit dance, for Bill who has bone cancer. These are wonderful examples of a benevolent society. What about community support of people with brain disorders? I never saw money jars or posters telling of support for a consumer. I am aware there are national organisations for that purpose...but the local community & the consumer struggle with the stigma of MI...& the odds are in stigma's favor. Benefit dinner for Bob who has BPD type 2. Bob lives in a dishwasher cardboard box, by the railroad tracks. With the proceeds of the dinner, we want to upgrade Bob to a refrigerator box & reserved seating at the food pantry. No monies for mental health care...because that's a bunch of witchcraft & it's all Bob's fault. Sad but true...it plainly sucks.
Double Standards On Compliments & Accomplishments

Sorry got to run, son & daughter in law coming over to eat. Post to be continued...JB Bob)
