Dosage change again

All of the annoying side effects to the lithium are gone....accept for my memory is still crap and overall the slowed mental functioning . I've been at 1200mg and my level is 0.9 on that dose. I saw my pdoc tuesday and he wants me to go back to 900mg and see if that helps with my memory/slowed functioning. He said if it doesn't help to call him and if any mood symptoms come back to call him/also go up to 1050mg...etc.
I'm scared, the memory thing and all is annoying but 1200mg has been working so good otherwise. I kind if wish he'd said go down to 1050mg and see if that helps first. I am just kind of getting used to stability and it freaks me out to chance loosing that at all.

I understand what you mean. It is so difficult sometimes when there is a med change, especially when you think things are going fine aside from a few side affects. I'm terrified that if I keep going the way I'm going, that my meds are going to be all screwed around. I've known stability and I miss it.
I hope you get things sorted out soon with the Lithium, it's a bitch trying to find the right combo and dosages.

I can already read better though not 100% like I should but its not nearly as bad and I'm not so spaced and less retarded with my memory. So far so good.

Yeah my boyfriend of over 1 year has bipolar and his medication was recently changed to a lower dose. He's been very open and honest when he's not doing well but I have to admit I still get a little frightened when he starts getting upset. I try to listen and be there for him. Fortunately tonight, my parents were home and since my dad is into football, my boyfriend was able to come into our house, sit down, relax and talk sports to my dad while a game was on. He was feeling better by the time he left and I think we both felt better about him driving all the way back to his apartment alone. Just wondering if it's normal to feel scared when the person you love is going through changes with the medication.
