Clayton,

I was having the same problem and the best thing I found was Ambien CR.  It is an extended release tablet and I slept 8 hrs then woke up no problem.  It is expensive and my Dr specified to not substitute.

Also, Lyrica makes me pretty drowsy.  I took it for a back injury, but I think is is presc for the muscular aches & blahs caused by depression.

Hope that helps, if not, there is always Jim Beam Grin

i seem to go through spells where i have sleep issues, as well... i go to sleep then wake up a couple hours later, and stay that way!  i've been doing this off and on for a couple weeks now.  it does tend to catch up with me after a few days, and i feel "wrecked".

i take xanax once in a while... which i know isn't a sleep aide, but it does tend to help me relax.

sure wish i could make some constructive use of those middle of the night waking hours, but i feel useless when it happens~

The Seroquel puts me to sleep but it's for days, so I don't take it much. I just put up with it until I start getting manic and then I will go in there, pop a Seroquel and sleep a couple of days...pretty messed up huh? stay awake 4 days and nights then sleep 2 days and nights...I miss alot...Doped sleep doesn't feel the same as real sleep anyway. Wouldn't you all like as I would to feel an actual real sleep?
