seroquel was a terrible med for me... made my muscles ache, felt like i was in the clouds all the time and brought on body disphoria, which was really weird...

I have just started Seroquel and have not noticed any side effects. I asked my doctor about the weight gain and he told me that like anything it is a matter of making healthy choices. I may crave brownie mix, but whether I eat it or an apple instead is my choice and will effect how much weight I will or will not gain. Therefore, I am going to see how I do and if I gain more than 10lbs with exercise and healthy eating then I am going to ask to be weaned off and given something else that does not have these side effects as mentioned previously. I know that I need to have tests done to check my levels so I will be on top of that. I do appreciate the sides effects others have experienced and shared; I can keep an eye on those too. Wink

I personally didn't gain any weight on it. It's just all the other nasty things I heard about it that made me scared.
