Chatroom

 I've been checking the archives on the site, and I notice that the chatroom gets hardly any use...I am thinking that perhaps we should close it.
 Any thoughts?

i think that sometimes people get a bit shy that jopin to go into the chat room.....it seems to me that only people who have been on the site for a while feel comfortable using it.there is also the problem with time differences which could also hinder the use of the chatroom.
matbe we could go back to have scheduled chats in there but then again that would still go back to how brave others feel about using it

^^^I agree, the time difference thing is hard, one person's night is another person's afternoon.  Schedualed chats are probably best esp when at least some of the people have more routine lives...where I am I don't have acess to the computer when I want to, its not mine.

Also, don't close the members only thing, I just haven't gotten around to posting pix yet...meant to by now but go a job and have been busy w/ that.

 Thanks for the input. Don't worry about the members only thing, it will be interesting to see who posts things there. I closed a couple of sections because they hadn't had any new posts in them for a looooong time, like the cooking one, also the moderator for that section has not been around for a long time....same with the rookie board, moderator no longer around. And I figured that the general discussion & babble sections were just as good for a newbie to post on.

It's a very elegant chatroom. Jane and I used to use it a lot, but lately nobody does. you can close it if you like--it's presence is too big to justify the use it gets.
