I went to my first Cognitive behavioral therapy appt and he has already passed me on to another. He has set me up with a PTSD therapist thinking he would be of more help to me. Seems like the way it always goes your given a chance to try something that just ends up; not working.

i know where your coming from,i have been to so many therapists and doctors and psychs and they all want to pass you to someone else, you know i think we scare them cos theres nothing they can really do,i have come to the conclusion that i am the only one who can help me...i just live use what knowledge i have of what my brain is doing and sedate myself if i lose control, and hope i wake up in a better frame of mind..it sucks when i wake up the same ,,thats when i find something to do and then knock myself out again,i would love to run away and vanish but my kids and my animals and my husband would be devastated without me,,i am the crazy one yet i'm the rock of this house...weird...you know all the cbt therapy is easier to apply if you read a book about it yourself..then it's in your minds voice not some stupid quacks noise...if they can't help ,there's something wrong with them.it's not your fault...

My Doc wanted me to try something called EMDR treatment for my PTSD. It's something to do with eye movements, and it is used to help veterans from the Persian Gulf who have PTSD. You should Google it and read about it, it's definitely something to think about.
