What a great site!

Hi everyone,
I've been doing some reading on bipolar disorder lately and stumbled across this site- what a find! Although I am not bipolar, my fiance is. Recently she had one of her worst episodes (SI involved), and it's been pretty scary helping her through something I feel I only half understand. Some of what I've found has been amazing to read about and really encouraging, other stuff has been a bit of an unpleasant eye-opener. It's a relief to see such a personal, caring community! I've been talking to my fiance about finding some sort of local support group we can go to together (she thinks it's a great idea), and it's pretty cool to find an open space on the web to bring this stuff out too.
