Hey there!  My first post!  I was referred by a certain admin's husband, although this isn't the handle I go by there.  Just ask if he sent a dragon over.  He'll know who it is.  Grin

Anyway a small bit about me: I'm 42.  Married almost 15 years.  Daughter 13, son 12.  Rapid cycling bipolar, pts, self mutilator, suicidal/homicidal.  Fun stuff.  Pretty much like all of you my teenage years were hell.  The usual drugs/sexual devient/depression.  Then along came glorious pregnancy and jumbled all my little brain chemicals again and made me violent.  Of course, there is an upside.  I have been permanently excused from jury duty.  Yup, have the letter to prove it.  I'm looking for that perfect frame.

So yeah, I'm very much a r/l introvert because I try to pick fights.  You know.. aisle hogs at the grocery store, horrid drivers, slow cashiers.  The government has deemed me unable to hold a job w/o hurting someone so I'm on disability.  Unfortunately, they don't give me a handicapped parking license for being bipolar.  Pity.

My medication list is in my sig.  Quite a list.  My goal is to have as much medication as humanly possible before I die.  (You guys realize the humor in this post right?)  So that's me in a nutshell.  Hi there.  Smiley

I had to look up a couple of your meds as I have not heard of them before. So, if you don't mind me asking, are you in therapy? And how long have you been diagnosed with this loverly disorder/illness/monkey on yer back, whatever you wanna call it? lol

I guess it's more like a big old gorilla.  LOL  The last 2 meds have nothing to do with the mental aspect, I just didn't want them to feel left out since I wrote all the others down. I was officially diagnosed in 2000.  During my teen years I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. Dr just shoved some xanax at me that I never took.  After my bipolar diagnosis I went through a ton of meds before I found the cocktail that worked.

I was in therapy for 7 years with both psychiatrist and psychologist (was inpatient twice).  Then insurance changed and you know the drill.  My Drs were no longer covered.  I now have to get my med refills from my reg Dr so I don't even want to touch the dosages of Lamictal or Pamelor.  Those are the two that I HAVE to have so until another pdoc wants to mess w/ the dosage then I'm staying where I'm at. Early this year I found a new therapist but haven't seen her for a few months.  I need to make another appt.  What else?  Oh.. the Niravam is a disolvable tablet form of Xanax.  This might be a good time to say I can't swallow pills so everything I take is disolvable, liquid, or chewable.  (With the exception of the last 2 drugs on the list.  I have to crush those and put them in applesauce.  Needless to say I don't take those regularly.
