I am going in on the 23rd and going to have a talk with my doc.  I feel so much like I have deteriorated.  My depression is worse, I am always on the verge of hearing voices,  I never feel ok anymore unless its only for an hour.  I used to go for months with no symptoms now Im sick all the time.  Dose anyone know anything about topamax?  They have me on depakote but I need to loose weight and with topamax it may help.  I dont know what to do anymore, sorry just needed to talk.

Glad you have one pretty soon although it never seems soon enough when you are fed up.

Here's a page about topamax:

I was put on Topamax  as an add on when I was first diagnosed....stress was giving me crazy migraines all the time, and they said it could help with that and my moods. They have a nickname for it..."Dopamax" and it is...super spacey and you have a hard time remembering words. It didn't really do anything for me except make me dopey...I still got migraines, and my mood didn't improve. You should try it...I know someone who posts on here who has used Topamax for years and she likes it very much, though it does make her a bit spacey. Everyone is different...like Depakote didn't make me fat, but the other side effects for me were intolerable.

Well the talk didnt turn out as planned although it never does.  I go to a clinic due to lack of insurance and the doc I was supposed to see wasnt in.  I ended up with a new doc and having to repeat the same old story.  He did put me on wellbutrin though.  I have been so depressed and down for so long and they havnt been treating it because they think Ill get manic.  I finally got an anti depressant.   Smiley
