Anyone been on wellbutrin?  I was put on it today and read that it can aid in quitting smoking and weight loss.  I was of course put on it for depression but wondered if anyone knows if it helps.

I am on Wellbutrin... 300 XL
I have heard from others on it that it doesn't help with quitting smoking and as far as weight loss?Huh?    ROFL In my experience it does not help with weight loss... But everyone is different.

I was on I think 3 or 4 other anti depressants before the Wellbutrin and I have been on it for probably 4 years. Seems to help me in conjunction to the rest of my cocktail.

My best friend (who has major depressive disorder) takes wellbutrin and it works very well for her...she hasn't been depressed since she's been on it.  Hopefully it wont make you manic (less likely than SSRIs).  Its funny because my friend never would go get help until she found out I did.  Weirder yet, she ended up going to the same place I do by coincidence AND weirder yet, she got the SAME therapist and SAME doctor I do.  Freakin weird man.  She also has (severe) ADHD.  We make fun of each other's mental disorders.  LOL
