I take very minimal meds...I have posted about it many times in the past. All Pdocs and many BP's would strongly disagree with my approach to life with Manic Depression, but how I am living my life right now works for me. I did it their way for a few years, and I was still having mood swings and my body was sick from all the drugs they had me on...my life was miserable. I took it upon myself to change my life, and now I am dealing with my mental illness in my own way. That means very healthy diet, exercise, vitamins, minerals, fiber, very little stress, etc. I have found a homeopathic remedy for moodswings that is available in the US, Canada & worldwide. Most of the homeopathic remedies I have found have not been widely available, so I am happy that I found one that all of us BP's can get, no matter where you live. Here is a link to the site... www.nativeremedies.com search for "mood calm" on the site, and read about it. I read about that and all other products, and I was pleasantly surprised. There are a few testimonials from people who take it in conjunction with their meds and they have had great results...also some comments from others who only take it with no pharmaceuticals. I have decided to try it...I am ordering a combo pack that should help my BP1...it has mood calm, pure calm and mood tonic. It is not too expensive....we all know Pharmaceuticals can cost an arm and a leg. I can't wait to see if the stuff helps...all the other homeopathic remedies I have tried have worked so far, so I am optimistic.

Awesome, thanks for posting this. I'm too chicken to go off my meds after what I went through recently. But I think if I start having any kind of relapse I might try one of those and see how it does. Any idea on how long they take to work? I would think it would be quick because homeopathic remedies seems to work very quickly much of the time. My dog had lyme disease and I gave him ledum paluster 1m a few times and then his lyme titer came up negative and now he is still free of it. Wouldn't that be awesome if it could cure out bipolar disorders?

You don't have to go off of meds to take this stuff....most people use it as an add-on to their meds, like a supplement. Some wind up needing a smaller dose of pharmaceuticals when they add it to their regimen. I would not recommend to anyone to take something without some sort of support...like a naturopath to help you [like I did...I had support when I detoxed from meds]. When I decided to do that I was very fortunate to find a doc[naturopath] who was supportive....he is a naturopathic physician, so he was able to prescribe pharmaceuticals as well, which he did, he gave me new scripts for all of my meds in case things didn't work out. Things did work out, I got healthy and the only script I wound up filling when I was under his care was Valium, which is one med that I still use...there are 2 other meds that I have, but don't take unless things are really bad, and that has only happened a handful of times since we left Costa Rica. I really just wanted to let people know that there are alternatives, and this add-on to a med regimen just might help others to be less reliant on pharmaceuticals and maybe help people to have less of the horrible side effects and health issues that stem from the use of meds.

Still waiting for my stuff to arrive....WHAT THE FUCK IS TAKING SO LONG? Stupid Postal Service! They suck I have meds, but I'd rather have the homeopathic stuff, though all I can say is Thank Heaven for the miracle known as Valium! At least it takes the edge off.

Well, I got my mood calm & other things last week, and I have been taking them with my 2 meds [neurontin & valium]. I feel ok, but my bike getting stolen kind of set me off...if any of you are watching my Vlog I have been talking about the alternatives and I'm going to report on how they work. I look like such a spaz on video, hope you all don't think less of me because of that....I'm a fucking nutjob, I know I am, and most of the time I'm ok with being that way.

Just wanted to report that the moodcalm & 2 other things seem to be helping. I do have to take them several times a day, but they dissolve or you can chew them, and the tincture is about 10 drops in a glass of water. Not too bad. I do seem to have a bit of a cough today, but I think that is from too much

I rolled one today at work...I made a face out of some left over pizza dough and rolled a fat one using a receipt and some parsley. I stuck it in his mouth and set him on one of the scales...my boss will find it sometime.

Have you checked Walgreens for that Calms Forte stuff? Hyland co. makes it and they are in the USA. It works if you are feeling agitated...but it doesn't last long. Have you also tried "Rescue" gum? That shit works immediately, and I'm pretty sure they have it at all healthfood stores, maybe even at Wholefoods?
