Thankgoodness! I didn't have to wait till next week.
I am going to try tegretol and see how that goes w/ the lithium. If that doesn't work he said to call and try risperidal instead (since we already talked about that).
OMG I am having withdrawals from the lamictal...I want to smack somebody.

I'm hiding from the British cops  The tegretol is making me tired as shit wtf. I've never had a drug make me tired and knock me on my ass...even downers or narcs don't do jack. But some real good bud can do it...it can make me a paralyzed, half there couch weight in a few tokes.  |

Sometimes when you take Lithium with another mood stabilizer it really kicks your ass...I think the Pdocs know this and just want you to maybe pass out and get some sleep so your mania subsides a bit.

The tiredness is already gone...didn't last long thank god. It gave me a bit of indigestion or something like that I never get. I woke up at 4am feeling icky...hope that goes away soon. Now another thing I find out...my other med darvocet effects how the liver removes the tegretol, resulting in increased tegretol levels. The pharmacist said I might have to cut back on the tegretol on the days I take darvocet but to talk to my pdoc first. He said it won't kill me or anything but I might get more side effects like tiredness.

I take pain meds also, as needed, and percocet and mood stabilizers really can make a person veg out, you know?  and Benzos also can do that when added to the mix. |

Well fuck I went up to the full dose a few days ago and ugh damn, I'm so tired and sedated. I sleep about 11 hrs and wake up tired then sluggishly go through my day. I have an almost perpetual headache, bad memory/concentration and my lithium induced incoordination is worse.  I just need to bitch because I am going to wait and see if it goes away (at least a week). I'm so sedated I don't know if it is working or not...I fucking don't know.  |

I got sick of being sedated...so I drank some coffee this morning  Not 20 minutes later my head started racing and I started doing 2 things at once then added a 3rd thing. I was doing laundry, cleaning up my room, watering the plants outside...in and out of the house...made a smoothie, did my dog's nails (its epic) and talked to my mom for a while. That's the most I have done in a while and it only took me about 3 hours. Ummm maybe no more coffee for me yikes  I have come down a lot thank god but still jittery and not tired. It didn't take away the lack of coordination, memory loss or bloating. I think the fact that lithium does that to me as well just makes it worse to be on both. |

Awww man, don't drink coffee, it really fucks with BP1 maniacs. do you have any benzos? Or did you look for the Calms stuff? And I sympathize with the clumsiness, when I was on 2 mood stabilizers I was clumsy too.  |

I know...no more coffee for me, yesterday went bad...I got in a fight w/ one of my friends. We were supposed to go to Busch Gardens but didn't and I kind of flipped out about that. I got up early for the first time in forever (only needed 7 hours of sleep) and I feel depressed today, but that irritable kind of depressed. I think I really fucked up when I drank that coffee.   |

Ok I had to get bloodwork for the Lithium and Tegretol and both came back good. My pdoc wants to to get off the Tegretol and to go up to 1500mg of Lithium. Then get a blood test in a week or two. I am kinda glad because I don't want to try the Risperidol unless I have to.
