I just finished an article about prozac and how it comes in a weekly pill. Has anyone tried this or a similar pill in the form of a weekly one?

i actually took my prozac in orange juice. my pdoc at the time (and this was like in the early 90's) told me to open up one of my pills and empty it into so many ounces of orange jucie and to drink a certain amount of orange juice. he said that it metabolized quicker that way... i dunno how true that was as it didn't seem to help. dunno if it was the prozac or the method of taking the prozac.

It is true that it "eats up" the pill faster. I know this for sure because when I had pills to give my patients, the doc would always tell me not to give a time-release med with juice (especially OJ) because the acid in the juice would immediately dissolve the pill into the system instead of releasing it throughout the day like it is designed to do.
