My mom told me I was pretty "off" as a baby...I wasn't normal, sometimes I didn't want to be held ever but would cry and cry, other times I would laugh hysterically and incessantly at something, I would get really angry and scream and cry, not a typical tantrum...etc.  I was born C-section and me and my mom both almost died and I wonder if that triggered such an early onset?

I think it's always been with me more or less, but it has become VERY bad in the last 2 years.  I am 33 now.

I started as a teen...was little more off than the average teen...it escalated in my early twenties and now in my 30's (34) I'm a little more mindful but it doesn't help the moodswings, I'm just aware of what is happening when the swings set in.

I was about thirteen when I got seriously depressed for the first time.   My first full blown manic episode was when I was 17.

Mine kicked off when I was around five, I do remember having voices before that but no 'real' episodes if that makes sense.  After the age of five though I started having more and more problems, I was very often in the head masters office for some trouble I'd causes through either losing my temper or doing something very strange.  I once sawed through a desk in school and had no idea what I was doing, I sat there zoned out listening to my own brain.  Mood swings were an issue but I also a brief pause with them during my teen years oddly enough.  I was no where near as severe as I was when younger or am now, weird little thing that.

LOL  I dealt with it from birth to almost 28 years before getting help.  I'm 29 and right now I feel all leveled out...wondering how long.
