 Just wanted to share something that kind of bothers me about my only med that I truly like....Valium. Does anyone else who may take it know that you cannot ingest Grapefruit in any way, shape or form? It totally increases the serum levels of Valium in your system by three fold! I love grapefruit in all forms, but it can lead to super high, almost toxic levels of Valium in your body! And Valium is long lasting[has a long half life] so it stays in your body longer, which is one of the reasons I like it for anxiety and panic attacks.
 Kind of a bummer, huh? here is a link that is helpful....apparently grapefruit juice interacts badly with quite a few psychotropic drugs.

You can't eat grapefruit with Darvocet either...so I am just careful not to eat it when I'm taking that.  I don't eat it very often anyway but good to know in case.

I love pink grapefruit! But haven't had any in forever because you can't eat grapefruit while you are on Seroquel.

I love ruby red grapefruit juice, and I really miss having a glass in the AM. Life is just not fair sometimes! Sad
