Cyclothymia vs Bipolar 2 Rapid Cycling

Okay, so what is the diffrence between the two? I've been dignosed with Cyclothymia for just about a year now but was also dignosed with major depression in late September. I also keep getting bouts of major depression still but am still classed as having 'mood swings' as my moods only last a few days before changing again. Does this mean I have rapid cycling bipolar rather than cyclothymia? Or can cyclothymia be a duel dignosis with major depression? It seems confusing as bipolar 3 is known as mild to
moderate mood changes with short periods of change, yet rapid cycling sounds about the same.
Can anyone helps clear this up for me?

I think that in cyclothymia, episodes do not meet the criteria for hypomanic or depressive episodes because of the duration (too short) and/or the severity. I think that's the difference.

No, what I know about cyclothymia is that we have mild highs and mild lows that can last one day or a few days without 'normal' moods between. Bacially it a mild version of bipolar 2, indeed my go on the devolope bipolar type 2.
