Question: Karma can keep track of applauds and smites, two separate numbers.  Rather than using this for karma, we could vote whether members are manic or depressed, and their number would ultimately show which end of the spectrum they are generally on.

I was playing with the karma and realized that it did not need to be karma, but could in fact keep track of anything that we like, as long as it is two numbers.  I thought, "Hey! It could be a way to see/ vote what we see in our fellow posters moods."

Thoughts?  It's a ten second job to make the switch.

i too don't totally get karma. i like the idea of tracking our moods but it feels because i am so damn insecure that it's about like and dislike and whether it's just all in my head  i'm terrified i will always be in the negative and thus disliked. and in fact have been terrified of posting for days.   k oh, i my as well feel sorry for myself right off the bat... :'( lol.

that might get tricky and mix up the line between support and treatment. if you know what i mean. i'm not sure i'm qualified to rate somebody's mood.

i have to agree with diet coke.....what ever feeling i have about myself it feels normal to me so it would be difficult to judge others moods when we often find it hard on days to judge our own....it could get a little chaotic and not give a very clear representation of where on the spectrum people lay....not that i really know what im taking about half the time
