Friend of mine does similar in terms of exercise, he uses weights to get it out of his system so to speak.  Problem is he overdid it while manic and ended up in hospital!

I noticed we're all veering towards the whole mania phase in this discussion so I think we should stick with it and see what we can all figure out.  It is hard when you find yourself enjoying it but ultimately it is a bad thing for us all as we have no concept of limits in such a state.  I for one am starting a diary today to see if I can isolate thought patterns that lead to mania!

 I will wake up and feel Euphoric. It happens sort of out of the blue, I'll be feeling healthy and positive and then I get Euphoric. After that the mania comes,and eventually the come down & crash. It can last for awhile, or sometimes be brief. I think it all has to do with how I feel my life is going at the time. If everything has been going well and happy, it is brief. But if things are screwy in my world well then it can last for awhile.

 Hypersexuality also comes with mania, seemingly out of nowhere at times. That can be awful, because you can never feel satisfied, and it's so frustrating that it makes you angry, and then after that sadness can set in and it's all just an horrible mess.

 Porn can either be your best friend or worst enemy at times like these.

 Exercise or really strenuous hiking can help to relieve frustration, I personally like to climb up a hill, clawing at tree roots and branches and scrambling up, it is exhausting and sometimes maddening, especially if you slip and it's a bit muddy.

I've been trying painting as it tends to keep my mind focused on one thing, and trust me miniature painting is the sort of stuff that makes you pull the oddest faces during it lol.  Paz, I'm glad you touched on porn to help, its something I was experimenting with, to the point that I now have a rather healthy porn collection.  The trouble I find with it isn't so much that I bored or find that it doesn't stimulate.  What I find is there is very little porn out there to suit my tastes, its either too much or not enough content for me.

Also the euphoria, completely get what you mean by it lasting longer if things are screwy, I also tend to find the more you can feed it the longer it lasts to.  Yes I am one of those guilty souls that holds on to such feelings for far longer than I should and it causes the worst kind of crash. 

Anyway, got me thinking, we're getting a pretty good list of ideas going here, at some point I'll jot them all down and repost them as bullet points.  Might help somebody in the long term!

Porn, toys and imagination.  I started to say that before but was like "no, he probably has that covered!" Grin  I'm not manic but I'm single and it sucks because I'm fucking deprived.  I cope with using "other porn" like watching DVDs of certain hot guys...ex: Steve Vai or drawing some made up hottie. Wink  I also wrote poetry when I was manic about sex. Hell

You know I don't actually have any toys that are male oriented, I sort of have a nice collection of things to pleasure women which for me is kink I have anyway so that works.  But you might be hitting something there, maybe I need to explore male sex aids and see where that takes me.  Problem is here in th UK they are bloody expensive for some reason, its not fair I tell you!
