I'm 1650mg of lithium and my pdoc said to try 1500mg again when I feel normal.  He thinks I'd be ok on that dose not working.  But I dunno, I'm real reluctant even though I want to take less.  I am not working and avoid going in public very much because of anxiety.  Living in the situation I do is very stressful though...I'm afraid it won't work at 1500mg like before.  I even wonder if I will stay stable on this dose if I wait a while.  I do want to take less but rather take a break from being bipolar for a while, then decide.

My blood level has to be between 0.9 and 1.4 Puke  I know that's high for long term.  But I'm not ready to go back down as long as its tolerable.  I think when I get away from my parents I can take a lower dose...I wonder how much getting away from them will affect my anxiety level.

probably a lot. you would be surprised how certain situations can cause your anxiety to sky rocket, even when you don't notice.

I am sure that when you change your living situation you will be able to deal with life better and then be able to take a lower dose. Until then, I would just stay at the dose you are on now, it seems to work for you. Keeping your cool is most important until you can get your own place, you certainly don't want to have to deal with your Mom flipping out. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah I think I am going to tell my pdoc that...its just too much stress here.  I definitely need to keep my shit together until I can get out...best thing for me.
