I answered Spring, and that is because in Spring I actually have a life that needs to be directional. I have kids in school and a schedule needs to be set, not only for me but for my kids as well, and I find it difficult. I am most often sad during this time. I should be 'happy' but I never tend to be... As my pdoc has said... I'm not the "garden variety" BP-er.

But, if I want to be completely honest, I would have to say summer is the worst for me. I have no schedule, I can do what ever I want (more or less). I am not bound by anything. So, even though I take my meds, I am still up all night, and sleep in until around 9:30 - 10:30 in the am. This time of the year is very "bumpy" for me. I go between highs and lows, hardly ever level. It seems to be one way or the other. Of course there are varying degrees of each, but that would be a very long discussion, and frankly, I don't have the energy to go there... LOL

Winter in regards to the worst of my moods I have to say, there isn't a great deal of different but enough to say 'well the seaon is having some effect'.  I believe for me its the weather keeping me from doing a lot of the things I enjoy, like going for long walks in the countryside, sadly with a lashing of rain here a lot of the places I love become no more than a boggy pit from which no shoe may return!

Winter for me as well.

Winter is holiday season and holidays lead to family visits and family  visits lead to extreme agitation and depression.

I'd rather just be left the hell alone with my husband and kids, but the rest of the world thinks they have to invade my space and it really pisses me off. Thinking about it is agitating.

Too much predictability. Too much structure.
Summer is nice-no reigns, just free.

Lately it seems any seasonal change has been rough on me. This autumn has been brutal and now we have snow which  makes it even worse. Sad

Season's don't seem to matter.  I hate summer but was manic during this summer, I love winter but recall being depressed in winter before.  I been both manic and depressed in every season.  I think I had a manic episode triggered by a first snow of winder a couple years ago.  I fucking love snow. Winter depression (after New Years Day) with the chance of going manic! Yes, Winter is the worst time of the year for me. It is grey and it snows and there is ice and bitter dry temperatures!
