Saw my psychiatrist today, told him about how things have been and about what my husband thinks, hes told me to write a mood diary over the next 4 weeks till i see him again. He prescribed Seroquel 50mg for 1 week then 100mg there after.
Im kind of worried about taking this med as i have heard so many horror stories about it, but i also know it does work.

Use your own discretion. I have been on it for a few years and so far I haven't had any problems. Right now I'm only on 100 mg so it is not that big of a dose.

I used to take seroquel 600mgs. It did not work for me, but it has helped countless others. Don't be afraid to take the med.....if you don't like it, then don't take it. But you must try it, you may be very glad you did.

I was just put on seroquel today, 100 MG to start and was told to try it for 2days to 1 week and if it was to strong to take 1/2 but if not strong enough to call and get an increase or if 1/2 is still to strong I can try something differant. I tried to get as much info as I can from my doc. and pharmacist about it's side affects and stuff.

I would suggest taking it at night. It can really knock you on your ass at first for most people.

yeah Phyllis I was told the same thing and that is why I think she gave it to me because I am so manic and have not slept but maybe a few hours a week for about 2 or 3 months now. but thanks for the info anyway. You can never be to careful with, when and how to take your meds

Hi chase, I am now on 200MG and it works OK but some days well most days it takes so f'ing long to kick in like 4 to 5 hours. So yeah it depends on the day and my moods.

I myself am on 200 mg but I also was started out at 100mg. Thinking of asking for an increase in my meds. I am starting back with my hallucinations again. Because I felt dizzy and went to the hospital. Told the CT tech that I thought I saw Abraham Lincoln. She just laughed at me. I am starting to hear weird things. I even started shaking in the past few days. I noticed it yesterday when I tried to read something. My hand shaking ever so slightly, no I wasn't knowingly doing it.
