I am sleeping less and less lately, and speeding up...now I'm a real bitch. I almost broke a window today, I was barely able to stop myself I hit the wall instead then the cabinet. I'm in a fucking daze, can't concentrate (yet I can read go figure). I am headed toward the point where I can't stop. I'm not hallucinating yet.
So my coices are:
1. go apeshit
2. go up on the lithium
3. try the risperidone
I can't fucking decide!!!!

I would go up on the Lithium (do you have a little leeway in your dosage?) if you get no relief, then try the Risperidone. It's an Atypical antipsychotic. Do you have any Ativan? If you do, I'd up the Lith & have an Ativan or Klonopin or whatever benzo you might have. If that doesn't work, then try the Risperidone. And call the Doc & see if you can get in for some talk therapy. Maybe something is bothering you to cause the insomnia & speeding up?

I can go up on the lithium (it just takes a while and it makes my stomach look fat at the higher dose). And I don't know how much longer I have.  I am wondering if the risperidone would work faster, he said it would help me sleep too. Other than that I dunno about that shit. Shit I forgot I have ativan. I have a therapy appointment very soon thank fuck! |

Take the ativan ans see if it helps. Take 2 if you have to. It might help you relax so you can try & sleep.

Did you up your Lith? And if you have a script for Ativan, maybe take one 3x per day till you go to Therapy/ Doc to help you get calmer. I think it will help.

Yeah much I hate too, I'm going back up on the dose. As for the ativan, I don't have a lot so using them for sleep. Tomorow, I get to go stress out my therapist LOL

Well, I took the risperidone and so far NOTHING...I'm still manic as shit but not yet hallucinating...accept for this face I saw watching me in my Jimi Hendrix poster. It was an alien with sex organs on its face I shit you not. Only thing so far.

Weird when I read, I notice the lines more than the words which is helping me. Its been hard for me to follow the lines and not jump to different lines because some word gets my attention like that. Well that's good so far.

i take risperidone and lithium with temazepam when i get all manic and start speedin up the temazepam helps with sleep great for me
the resperidone isnt the greatest to me with leveling me off as much so as just getting good sleep for a few days but this is just me and i think we sound alike but
hard to say but ne way thats what works for me

I ended up having to quit taking the risp because it made my neck stiff. It really did seem to help and it helped me sleep. I'm still doing extra lithium and coming down slowly now. I definately need a benzo to chill out.
