I find myself trying to do the same things he does.  Like monitoring my thoughts when I'm manic...there is what has contributed to my social anxiety disorder.  I'm not knocking it, it works for him and it helps me in a way.  I actually think its an OCD thing to monitore oneself like that.  Does seem healthy.
