I read the article in the link below the other day and found it interesting. It talks about therapist and pdocs really trying to relate and work with their patients. I guess this is the way it should be, but I am pretty sure that it is not always the case.
Don't really agree with all of the article. I can relate to the existential despair, but I think that depression is a part of the illness rather than "consequences of the failed hopes of mania." In my experience I think depression has always come first, then after a long down period, I suddenly feel happy to be alive again! Also the documents title and introductory segments seem to talk about depression, while the body seems to talk more about relating with manic patients. Despite the article having bits that don't agree with my experience, I still think it makes some interesting points.
