i stumbled across this while checking out a zen website...

 I was fortunate enough to see & hear the Dalai Lama speak in Portland, Oregon back in the '90's. He was promoting world peace and his book "The Policy of Kindness". There were many Monks there, and they made a bunch of Mandalas out of sand, they were beautiful.

 He is a very wise man.
