My lover has Bipolar 1. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed - I can't even begin to imagine how he must feel. Would be nice to get some advice as to how I can best support him...x

Welcome to the group Ruby.

There's a whole crew here who will be more than willing to help. There's even a section for friends and family members of BP's. Smiley

welcome to the forum!  Grin the the most affective way to treat any mental illness is through orthomolecular medcine... in just over two months i've seen significant changes where before i was on standard meds for just over 7 years and i was a mess... here's the website:

http://orthomolecular.org/... this form of medicine is AMAZING... the website has a library section with thousands of papers... although there are a good number of papers on bipolar, most of the research is on schizophrenia... if orthomolecular medicine can cure schizophrenia it can surely reverse bipolar... you can find a doctor in your area under the resource section... meds have never been the answer... if you help him to get better it will help you...

good luck!  Grin
