So I went to workout today. I feel great. It's a great coping skill for when you're depressed or in general!
You'd think that since you're sweating all the fluids out of your body when you work out, you're supposed to drink lots of water to keep yourself from getting dehydrated right? WRONG! That's what I thought. I was drinking lots and lots of water during my workout. I got really nauseated and went home. Started gagging, and threw up all the water I drank. I googled it and apparently, you're not supposed to drink lots of water during your workout. You just take sips. When you drink gulps during your workout, and your endorphines are high, you overhydrate yourself and dilute your electrolytes, thus, causing nausea and puking. So, word of the idiotic wise, take SIPS NOT gulps during your workout!  Puke  WTF Grin

I thought it was just cause I had the flu.. O_o  Had the same thing happen to me when I was running at home. Good to know now lol Smiley

  It's after the workout when you should drink water, not during. After your muscles have been working, they need water to help them to recuperate from the exertion. I hope your trainer didn't tell you to drink during your workout! If he/she did then they need a  Bottom Whack

I overheat real fast so I do drink water while working out BUT only a sip of water....in about a 1hr workout at the gym I drink 1 bottle.  If the water is super cold it absorbs faster.  I have done that too though and made myself feel nauseous because it was just sitting there in my stomach.  Make sure the meal/snack you have before working out is something you easily digest.  Ex: boiled eggs vs stewed beef and potatoes.

Yeah, I totally learned my lesson.  I just didn't know about the rule, and drank water like I just came out of a desert while working out. I went again yesterday, only did little sips, and didn't get sick. So it's confirmed. It was the water!
