New meds

Sorry I haven't been around. I'm in an out-patient program at the hospital.
They've changed my meds and I'm sleeping a lot. I cut back on wellbutrin and Zoloft and they've added ativan, tegretol and lotrapine (sp?) ... oh and Cymbalta, but I haven't picked it up from the pharmacy yet.
They also cut out the adderall. He said he added the Cymbalta because I needed something for norepinephrine.
Anyone taken Cymbalta? Did you gain or lose weight.
It just occurred to me I'm posting this in the wrong place ... should be under meds. Sorry.

They'll never give me an antidepressant but I know a guy who took it...he didn't like it but he didn't need it either. I guess that is no help, sorry. I'm sure somebody on here has taken it though. I do know about the sleepy, I was on tegretol once and it kicked my ass into the ground. Welcome back.

Glad you are back, Ramji and I hope you are feeling better.
That's a lot of meds, I don't fault you for being tired. It could be because they cut out your Adderall, that is an amphetamine salt. It is also a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, so that could explain the script for the cymbalta.

i'm sorry to here you were in the hospital, i was wondering where you were... i'm glad you're out and about... i don't have any experience with cymbalta, all i know is that it is a specific form of anti-depressant... i hope it works for you... i love when doctors begin experimenting with different medications...

Thanks, everyone.
Loxapine .... that's the on I misspelled.
It's an antipsychotic, but it's used for sleep.
Ah, the wonderful world of side effects.
