i subscribe to maybe 140-150 Utubers on Utube yet every week on average i'll get at least 30-35 friend invites from people... in the past i used to at least check out their channel to see if they were interesting but most of them turned out to be people who posted videos where you had to read their message, not only was it a pain in the ass to read but they would always scroll the damn information so quickly i'd get anxiety attacks trying to keep pace and the background music generally always sucked... God!!! then there's the musician who'll say "hey, i read a comment you made on so and so's video and thought you might want to check out my new tune"... so of course, me being a dumb ass, i'd check out the video and they always sucked, not only did they suck but they weren't even close to the type of music on the video i commented on... at one point i was interested in trying to make money from home so i subscribed to a few mlm coaches and would comment on their videos until i realized their methods were total hogwash and they were really trying to get people to buy their DVD packages so i unsubscribed to all of them... problem is new mlm coaches are bothering me to friend and subscribe them based on my posts, it's fucking insane!!! and then there's this one holistic chiropractor who bombards me to look at the same mother fucking video over and over again... and to top it off!he's now trying to get me to subscribe to two new channels he's created!!! i mean, the guy puts out interesting information i guess, nothing special but its gotten to the point i'm thinking about unsubscribing and blocking his ass... i could go on with my little rant, but i won't... what prompted this tirade was i received 8 friend invites today....
i think facebook is fucked up... a friend from work sent me an invite to friend him on facebook, so i figure let me check him out and i get to his page and it's completely blank!!! no picture, no information no nothing... needless to say, i didn't become a member in order to be his facebook friend... the reason why i bring up facebook is on another forum i belong to, my favorite one, there was this 26 year old woman whose having problems with her boyfriend not calling her for four to five days at a clip, problems relating to people at work, she wants to drive her car off a cliff and people on facebook who were her "friends" are now turning on her and leaving nasty messages on her page among other things... she's obviously a little emotionally arrested to allow strangers on facebook to get to her like this but i handled it gently and explained to her how i saw the situation and what i would do if i were her and invited her to PM me if she needs any help... i don't know if she'll reach out, i hope so... but i think it's pretty fucked up to get all fucked up over facebook friends... my sister was telling me that some people have multiple hundreds of thousands of friends... who needs to be friends with multiple hundreds of thousands of friends you know nothing about???
