Sorry for spamming/posting a lot. lol  But this morning when I woke up I looked in the mirror and my eyes were almost solid black the pupils were dilated that much. It doesn't appear to be messing up my vision that much aside from not liking bright lights a little more than usual. Has this happened to any of you? And would you recommend seeing a doctor about it?

I have never had that happen to me (well, not on medication  Afro ). If it is something that makes you feel uncomfortable, see a doc. Seeing a doc is not a bad thing, ya know? I would see if it changes first. If it goes unchanged for a day or so, then that is when I would go see the eye doc.

ok, first, don't scare the poor girl! How about giving her some INFORMATION about what you MAY think it is?

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0004531/

and after reading the information at the above link, she didn't explain any of those symptoms.

edit:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serotonin_syndrome gives more information. but I still don't think that is what she is suffering from, though I could be wrong... I am not a doctor.

Common symptom: Dilated pupils...always call your doc about possible seratonin syndrome, it can damage your organs (or kill you) if allowed to get severe.  I hope I didn't scare her too much but don't take it lightly!  Unless she's been taking LSD, that's what it is.

I'm okay now guys.  Grin lol   Went to talk to my doctor, he checked my eyes, and it's just a side effect of the medication. So aside from not liking bright lights (which I never really did anyways) I'm okay.  And don't worry didn't scare me too bad because I new I was going to see my doctor that day anyway. Thanks for the concern. Smiley

Some meds are known to mess with your vision......Atypical  Antipsychotics can mess with your sight.....when I was on Seroquel my vision was starting to get blurry and I needed to get old lady reading glasses! I went to the doc and talked about my vision problems, and I stopped taking it and gradually my eyesight returned to normal.

Always try to research everything that you put into your body and possible side effects, most people do suffer from the common side effects of meds, and others are more sensitive and may have the rare side effects. Be vigilant and take care of yourself as best as you can.
