So I'll start by reminding everyone that my weekend involved mouse poop, leaky Windows, locking myself out of the house, appliances breaking, dog running away and a lot of ice. So I thought everything was improving because Monday was ok. Stressful but ok. Well I'm here to tell you the adventure continues! I had to drive to the city yesterday (3 hrs of mountain driving). The weather was PERFECT! So I was driving along at 60mph when a car pulled out of a gas station right in front of me! So I hit the break and nothing much happens. Just a lot of screeching tire sounds. I swerve left and then realize there is a truck in the left lane coming at me. So I swerve right back into my lane. Now at this point I think I might have actually avoided an accident. I didn't hit either car so things are good right? Not so Much. I started to spin and then hit a pretty good sized snow bank. That should have stopped me but no! My car just decided to go ahead and run up the bank and launch itself off the top. So I felt like I was dropped about 5 feet. Landed on the pavement in the gas station parking lot and slid into some more snow which finally stopped me. It was kind of awesome! I now plan on becoming a race car driver when I grow up ;-) the poor guy that caused this felt so bad. He was pretty upset about it. I just kept telling him that it turned out fine and shit happens so don't worry! Thank God I didn't hit them though cause it was him, his wife and their toddler. And the oncoming truck I'm sure was going 60-65mph. If I lost control any sooner I would have launched over the other side of the road into some trees. So I work all day and drive back tonight. And of course its snowing with poor road conditions today.
