Hello, welcome to the group Smiley I hope we can help answer your questions. It might be, a lot of people are unfortunately uncomfortable when it comes to talking about mental illness.

Hey welcome here...I'm on lithium, lots yuck.  Some of the side effects are helped with inositol (lithium depletes inositol).  What side effects are you having?  I have a tremor, CRS, appetite loss, lowered artistic ability, concentration issues...etc.  But its very helpful with mania and depression for me.  Stress and sleep deprivation seem to cause breakthrough symptoms and I have have risperidone in case of that getting out of hand.

Welcome to the site! I am glad that you found it.

I used to take lithium, but the side effects were just too much for me after awhile.

Hope that you are doing alright, and that you find some comfort here.....you are not alone.

hi panika... yeah, i took 1200mg's of lithium in order to maintain blood levels... i had some problems with it but nothing compared to others here... and i have to be honest, it really wasn't too effective for me, because i still became depressed and i still became manic... it did seem to trim my highs, which i thought sucked because lows were pretty low, very low actually... welcome here...

damn Paz, alot of new people showing up, this is cool...
