Night Terrors

I'm just getting fixed up on abilify after being on risperdal for about 5 years. Night before last I had fear of the dark, hallucinations of ghosts, and nightmares. I never heard of that as a side-effect of any drug, or as a bp mood--I think it may not be connected to the drug, it may be something else going on. Last night no ghosts or anything, but I still slept with the light on. I havent asked my doc about it yet--we all had this stuff as kids, but has anybody else encountered it related to your meds?

i am sorry that you are experiencing this...makes me want to hug you...
i dont take any meds and i have had hallucinations for a long time...day and night.....i often feel my hallucinations touch me,poke me and interact with me.....night time is worst, but i can happen anywhere with me,at the park, shopping, work etc.....i have gradually become used to it and now beleive them to be real...and the ones that scare me leave me in a sweat and panic attack

I have had those type of experiences with seroquel....but after a few days it went away...boy those few days sure were hell though. Rozerem was the worst with those type of side effects for me. I knew I was awake, could hear and see everything, but my body was completely paralyzed. Most horrible thing I've ever felt. It was like in the movies where people are having surgery and can't tell anyone that they are still awake....ugh
