I would have to say that my seroquel and abilify help me the most. Wellbutrin the least.

Lithium,Depakote, and Valium. The Depakote is new, and it calms me down. Valium makes me happy, lithium helps keep me level.

P.S. seroquel helped me the least, that's why I don't take it anymore

Seroquel is an antispychotic that is used to treat mania or keep it at bay. It is also used for sleep by many pdocs.

If Seroquel is used for mania and I am too depressed to consider suicide because I would have to get up to get the gun....then why in the hell am I taking it...I am getting highly pissed of at these damn doctors.

I am sure there is some reason your Dr has put you on it. It is possible that they have you on it for sleep. As I stated, some Doc's RX it for sleep. Why, I have no idea, why they just don't RX a sleeping pill instead - way less side affects that way.

I tried seroquel and within 15 minutes of taking it I had to practically crawl to my bed, I was given a very small dosage but I stopped taking it because I couldn't keep awake.
I sometimes wonder if they just want us to go away and take our meds, and  even if we end up like zombies, at least we will be to tired to bother anyone!  Smiley

i know i 've already said most of this but seroquel at 400-600mg helped me achieve almost full time stability. it was a life changing experience and strictly for myself i consider it a miracle drug although as we know, it has powerful side effects. i am a rapid cycler with a very difficult time sleeping at both ends of the spectrum. but on top of that i also take a sleeping pill and xanax. the last 2 don't even cut it without seroquel.  i am now on 3mg of Invega which is the lowest dose. it helps with racing thoughts but not sleep. antidepressants dont really have much of an effect although i take them. lithium didn't work for me.  now what you didn't ask i've heard of trazadone for sleep.  have no clue what it did for me i was only on it for a short time.  lurker i hope you find something that works for you. k

phyllis, was wondering how abilify works with regard to sleep and weight gain, have you noticed much or is it hard to tell??  k

I take my abilify during the day and it doesn't phase me, although one of the side affects is drowsiness. Also, has not affected my weight. Just the stupid seroquel. Argh!

yeah..they put me on it for sleep but it sure seems like they could've given me something else, knowing that I am depressed and the med is a downer.
