k..If I took that much of the seroquel, you wouldn't hear from me for a month. I just stopped my low dosage of 50mg on my own because all I could do is sleep day and night. I stayed in there in that bed so long that I forgot what my kids looked like. I've rooted a big rut in my mattress. My husband had to come in and turn me over every few hours so that I didn't get bed sores lol. People are so different with their reaction to these meds.

That is something you need to ask your pdoc. I'm on Wellbutrin, Abilify, Lamictal, Seroquel, and Ativan. Both Abilify and Seroquel are anti-psychotics (it is not unusual to be on 2 of anything) I'm on Lamictal for mood stabelizer However.... when I feel rage coming on I am supposed to take a seroquel and it does help. All docs have a different way of approaching our moods. If you have any questions, ask your pdoc. If they don't want to explain anything to you or listen to you about how meds are affecting you, then it is time for a new pdoc. I know, easier said than done.

when i was in the hospital i was on an astounding 300 mg of seroquel....3 TIMES a day. that's right. when i got out, i decided not to take medication. right away. it was a few months before i decided that i needed to. well, i don't take seroquel now, but this is what happened with it one time. i took a 300 to help me sleep and i was not adjusted to such a big dose anymore, apparently. i had this terrible akathesia. it is where your legs are uncontrollably uncomfortable. i have heard it described as feeling like you need to crawl out of your skin. to me it is like the tiniest of shocking tremors crawling up the leg. this was persistent---but soon i fell into a comatose sleep. it is just-i think the stuff is poison for me. when manic, i tried to fight the sedation. i was so exhausted from it but fought it. which i think is twice as bad a mania alone. i don't know. plus i ate like anything in site. bad med for me.

lamictal and effexor seem alright. we'll see. what i want to know is how long it takes for a med to feel like it is at its peak performance.
