"Physical " Therapist

Has anyone ever been told that they were "hyposexual" due to their being bipolar and then the next week they get hit on by their therapist? Does this happen very often? Nothing happened, but now I feel weird around him even though he has really helped me a lot. What's up with that?

That's not cool! If therapist is any good, he should be able to find women besides his patients to hit on! If you are in a position to switch, I would say, dump this one and get somebody else! If he did it once, he'll do it again.

it's against a therapist's code of ethics to come on to a patient for heaven sake.  i would have felt uncomfortable in your position, Denise.

i hope you find someone else, if it would make you more comfortable.  you dont' deserve to be abused by a medical professional, that's for sure.

Yuk...that's gross...is he hot...mine's a girl. Just kidding. Really, alot of people that are in control of your life, which therapists are in a certain retrospect, think that they can treat you that way.They turn the power that they have over you into just what you described because they know that you are looking up to them for the help that you need and you are vulnerable...Ditch him or if you like him as a doc, tell him that he made you feel uncomfortable, if you are assertive enough to do that. I definitely could do that, but I understand that some people aren't as direct. Sometimes I really regret having that quality. Wait a minute, no I don't. Then people would run all over my ass. I don't regret it. I like my qualities, good and bad...how do ya' like that ....heeee yaaaa (karate chop)
