Sorry, to learn about your predicament. There are so many variables with medication it's overwellming. Not wanting to be a asshole here, but this: " I take this med & boy it works for me or that med sucks, is just futility to me." This is a "freedom of speech site" so you med babblers can do your thing.  Simplified, doctors are keen to a plummer(s) ,some are great, some in between, & some suck. Some doctors specialize in medications.(pharmacologist) But the reality, are these specialties available in our area. Do we have the financial resources to access. A certain med has differant affects for all of us. We all have differant side affects or in many cases, none.Sadly some consumers are medication intolerant. They have to rely on other treatments for relief. And pity the consumers that are "Shit out of Luck". I sympathise Chase, you going through the "Medication Wringer". It's a f*cked up mess & you happen to be in the fight. Sorry I paint such a bleak picture & but the truth sucks the big one.
So it's, "The second verse, same as the first." Hang in there. Do the best that you can. And if certain people are not satisfied, tell them to eat shit & bark at the moon.

Guys, I didn't mean that the way it came across. I also take antidepressants, but not just that alone. She is manic, taking nothing but an antidepressant.

Now that I agree with. But... Nicki never said what she is on did she? Maybe I missed it. I'll have to re-read what she wrote.
But yeah, you are right. A manic person should not take an anti-depressant alone. That is just bad news waiting to happen.
Yes, Phyllis, that is all she has ever been tried on. She could not get help from anywhere before and now that she has, all they have given her is just an antidepressant. It freaked her out, but seems that she is some better from talking to her since. I am worried about the med and that's all I was trying to say, but didn't want it to freak her out b/c I'm just glad she finally found SOMEOME ANYONE to help her....Are 'ya listnin' to me there nicki?

Joe, I am surely no doc, I'm just telling what meds have done to me. We've all stated that meds work differently for some then others. We just talk to each other about what happens to us. We're not giving medical advice. I hope that your last I wan't the inference on your last statement of your post, cuz nicki's my bud and I don't think she'd want me to eat any more shit than I've already had to..LOL...I don't mind barkin' at the moon.

Hi hon,I am so sorry you are going through this.Years ago they thought I might be schizzo-eefective,This may not apply to you. Now my doctor will give me anti depressants but they have to be in a certain category. They cannot be serotonin inhibitors or I will have symptoms of hearing voices. I try not to stay up really late or past 10;00 because it sometimes can cause symtoms.Getting help isn't so bad . Once I actually enjoyed my stay in the hospital. You seem like someone who can advocate for yourself too. I have problems with paronoia. It may be better just to confide in a good friend. I have embarassed myself with paronoia. I don't always think I am being paronoid either but I know paronoia can be a painful thing. I live withot too.I think some of it is my insecurity. It's ok to have insecurities. We are only human beings and human beings are not perfect . Hopefully you will feel much better. A pdoc once told me that if I am always having paronoia around one person and knowone else, its likely that it really is happening. So try to think about where you are having the paronoia.  If you go places  all the time and it doesn't happen you can come to your own conclusions.Sometimes I am not 100 percent sure that something was said and other times I know for sure but, I get in the state of shock that  forget vey quickly what the person might have said said.I think we can instantly block things out when we don't want to think about them. I hope you feel better soon Try not to listen so much this might help . ;)I have tried this myself. It seems to help me.Take care hon, sojo

Gosh, I can't just forget about things people say. They continue to race between my other thoughts for a long time. Most times I even take them to bed with me.
