Just was wondering what you all thought about meditation. Have you tried it and if so what was the outcome. I have tried and tried but my mind doesn't slow down enough for it to really make a difference. The only way I can get my mind to slow down is to listen and lose myself in some good music. What about y'all?

I can only find my mind drifting off to why the hell I am meditating anyway...LOL...It's the same as always, everything runs through my head and I can't give my own self peace, even lying in the bed at night, sure that's the reason I don't sleep.

If I just sit and try to be quiet, my mind starts thinking of problems.  The problems don’t even have to be real.  I can sit there and think about things that could go wrong.

No meditation for me.

I do yoga and listen to music that I love in my yard under my favorite tree. you said you like the doors. its awesome to relax and come close to the earth with. although I dont do it much because my mind does race and I usually can not calm down long enough to do it.

i can't even pray correctly bc as I'm talking to God, I begin thinking about everything else that is going on in my life, and sometimes think of things that others are going through and things that are totally irrelevant to my life.
