Just saw a report on CNN. While Clinton and Obama "strongly" support mental health parity, McCain is against it "at this time." No word as to when he might support it. So when you vote this fall, remember that. You may wind up in the hospital or needing meds or having to pay a doctor or whatever sometime in the next four years.

Hello Jane,

Remember I hate to talk politics so please don't assume I prefer someone over the next.  I am also affected by mental illness.  I remember back during Bill Clinton's term in office.  Somehow Hillary Clinton got the job of fixing the medical system in these United States.  I don't remember all the details, except that she failed.  Maybe she has learned something from that.

I don't know hardly anything about Obama.

Whichever of these two get elected, if its Clinton I hope she learned from her mistakes and does a good job at what she says.  If it is Obama I hope he learns fast and can do more than "strongly" supporting mental health parity.

Thanks for listening and remember I am not endorsing anyone at this point.  Elwood

Like Charles Barkley says, poor people have been voting for the Democrats for 50 years and they are still poor. Some call it the other party of war and racism--there are trwo things I worry about with Obama--one is that he gets assassinated, like RFK, and the other is the Bradley Factor--that when it comes down to it, white people wont vote for a black man for president, however they  may have supported him in the primaries.

Let us have Will & Franklin Delano do the taking about Politics & Mental Health Parity.

The only difference between death and taxes is that death doesn't get worse every time Congress meets.
Will Rogers

Alexander Hamilton started the U.S. Treasury with nothing, and that was the closest our country has ever been to being even.
Will Rogers

Ancient Rome declined because it had a Senate, now what's going to happen to us with both a House and a Senate?
Will Rogers

Democrats never agree on anything, that's why they're Democrats. If they agreed with each other, they would be Republicans.
Will Rogers

Everything is funny as long as it is happening to someone else.
Will Rogers

I am not a member of any organized political party. I am a Democrat.
Will Rogers

I don't know jokes; I just watch the government and report the facts.
Will Rogers

It's easy being a humorist when you've got the whole government working for you.
Will Rogers

Politics is applesauce.
Will Rogers

There ought to be one day - just one - where there is open season on senators.
Will Rogers (1879 - 1935)

Our Constitution protects aliens, drunks, and U.S. senators.
Will Rogers (1879 - 1935)

The man with the best job in the country is the Vice President. All he has to do is get up every morning and say, "How's the President?"
Will Rogers (1879 - 1935)

On account of us being a democracy and run by the people, we are the only nation in the world that has to keep a government four years, no matter what it does.
Will Rogers (1879 - 1935)

There is not a man in the country that can't make a living for himself and family. But he can't make a living for them and his government, too, the way his government is living. What the government has got to do is live as cheap as the people.
Will Rogers (1879 - 1935)

Ten men in our country could buy the whole world and ten million can't buy enough to eat.
Will Rogers
